This past week during Chelmsford’s July 4th celebration on the common, as a church we gave away approximately 320 root beer floats. In years past we have sold the floats along with hot dogs, sodas and waters as a way to raise money. Many in the community asked why we are giving them away. Short answer – we need to redefine church. Is the church supposed to be serving the community in real ways? I think everyone knows what the answer should be. This is just a small first step in aligning the church’s ministry with a new purpose and vision.
